LOOK AT THIS SPLENDIFOROUSLY SCANNED IMAGE! NOW LOOK AT SOMETHING ELSE I SCANNED WITH THAT 20 YEAR-OLD PIECE OF SHIT. I feel like a million bucks right now. $150 well spent.

So story time: I got to school this morn and the place was surrounded by firetrucks due to a gas leak, so one of the coaches ushered us all into the mall across the street, and after a half hour where we determined first block was cancelled because all of our teachers were at Starbucks casually hoarding all the tables, we went and found out that school was cancelled for the WHOLE DAY! SO like proper teenagers we went to FutureShop so I could pick up my very own brand spankin' new scanner, and then the bookstore, and then home to catch up on homework. Felt so good. It was like the universe smiled at us and was like, "Here you go, kids. Enjoy your day off."

And now, in an attempt to distract myself while Goliath takes its sweet time hitting the shelves, I've decided to finish the little comic adaptation of one of Julia's chapters (79. what the loris saw) I started right after I read it (I can't help it; she just writes exactly the kind of things I like to draw). Here's the first bit!

Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard when I saw this! And then I did a fangirl squeal, as is customary, because I haven't been looking up a lot of Leviathan stuff on here. AND THEN I SAW THIS. AND IT MADE MY DAY. It was funny, sweet and had that heat that most of the book's kiss scenes lacked. Which was understandable, since they'd only been in a relationship for a while, but this...IS EPIC.
