Dalek Week - crossover by ThePrinceOfParties Dalek Week - crossover by ThePrinceOfParties
EVERBODY LOOK AT THIS: IT IS RELEVANT TO YOUR INTERESTS!
It's my sister's contribution to Dalek week (!), which I forced encouraged her to draw because she's so much better than I was at her age and I have no doubts that eventually she'll exceed my skillage entirely if she'd only work at it. But she's more likely to end up as a Student Union president or earn a whole crapload of scholarships and win the National Science Fair or some garbage like that. She's one of those kids.
ANYWAY, go tell her how great it is for a thirteen year-old's work, because she won't believe me D:

Now onto my submission:

I haven't actually seen Castle in the Sky, but I assume that like every other Ghibli film I've watched, the Power of Friendship previals over all! Plus after watching Kiki's Delivery Service at ~ParadoxPhotos' house, we got to "explore the worlds of Ghibli" and I gleaned enough knowledge on Pazu and Sheeta to be like, "F:)CK YEAH!" (not out loud, of course). I mean, come on, courageous-born-to-fly-stranger totally taking it upon himself to help the orphaned-secret-heir-to-an-empire anyone??? And the GOGGLES!

Hoping it's apparent that I tried to mimic the actual Ghibli style. And I think those are supposed to be Germans chasing them (typical Germans -sigh-)

Deryn, Alek (c) Westerfeld
char designs/that funky vehicle from Castle in the Sky (c) Studio Ghibli

HAPPY WEDNESDAY OF DALEK WEEK, EVURYBOHDY! :la:

Day 1: wtf
Day 2: such great heights
Day 4: faith
Day 5: making history
Day 6: walking on air
Day 7: a place to belong

Very nice! I am a big fan of Westerfeld's work, and even more so a fan of ghibli. I call these machines "ornithopters" because that literally means flapping machine, but I do not remember what they call them in the movie. I believe theyre called "flaptors" in the movie but I'm a bit fuzzy on that. Anyways great work! And yes your sister is a very good artist!

Dear god...Deryn giving them "THE FINGER" made me die. No seriously, some call a doctor, I can't breath from all my laughing. Help.

Now that I have seen the movie this is just so hilarious

Maybe its just because now I know that Alek is Sheeta, and Deryn is Pazu.
